Retro hairstyles are those which were popular during the period of 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Though most of the women kept long hair at that time but the different types of hairdos of that period are revisited by the modern people over and over again and we like to follow those styles on some of our special occasions. Those who had short curly hair combed them down. The hair bangs were also short and were tightly tied. The victory rolls over the top of the head were quite common and made the women look gorgeous. The making of ponytail and buns were seen quite often. The use of hats was also quite common. The buns and victor rolls were kept in place by using the decorative hair pieces, clips etc. Another popular hairstyle was the bouffant. The hair used to be puffed and bouffant was made at the back. The hair bangs or curls used to be there on the sides making the look smart and attractive. Keeping the long hair straight and wearing a head bandana was also followed by the women at times.
